Working with children has been Danny’s passion since coaching primary-aged children at the local YMCA at age 19. He is a proven educational veteran, having shared his passion for teaching with students in multiple grade levels in Tennessee’s Wilson County School System over the past 31 years.
Danny and his wife, Debbie (a high school guidance counselor), have three children: Kellie, Amy, and Zach. At his first presentation on the Power of ICU in 2007, his first session had about 40 attendees. The second session was so packed with teachers, supervisors, and principals that many were standing outside the door listening. A long line of people stayed after the session to ask questions and get his email address. The last person in line was Jayson Nave.
A love for Jesus Christ, his wife, Julie, his girls, Joslin and Jenna, a little "J" on the way, and fixing educational practices that have erred, grown apathy in our youth, and not worked for years, fuel Jayson's passion for improving education and spreading the message of the "ICU." Jayson is an educator in the Sevier County School System in Tennessee and is honored to serve his community, educators, students, and work with the thousands of educators across the country using the ICU.
Jayson was in Nashville in 2007 for a Middle Grades Summitt. He was about to leave a session on the Power of ICU because the room was so congested. He decided to stay and saw an educator who felt the same way he felt about students. That person was Danny Hill. Little did Danny or Jayson know that the ICU would grow into a national movement helping thousands upon thousands of schools and educators reach every child.
